Default Interesting BMW race

So tonight I was pacing a guy in a 330ci with his top down. He had what looked like optional factory wheels with Eagle F1's all around. Eventually he's a car or two back and he guns it, as do I when I see him coming. He pulls to about 2 cars ahead, but i'm shutting his pull down and by 80 or so (Just a guess, I didn't look down) I have him by about 1 car. Just wondering, does the fact that he got a jump like that make a huge difference, is his car that fast, or am I just a crappy driver? I thought i'd have pulled him by more.

If it was a 330ci and you didn't blow his doors off then you suck or he was FI...

You sure it wasn't a 335i?

Couldn't really read the badging on the rear in the streetlights. It was 3XXci. It's not the newest model ones. The more boxy-styled ones is what it was.

Well if it wasn't the newest body style and it was 3XXci then your best hope was that it was a 330ci...

E46 ///M3's look quite a bit different so you'd know if it was one of them even if the badging was changed.

Are you autotragic or M6?

I'm a BMW nut so I know quite a bit about them...Well mid 90's and newer anyway...Not a fan of the older stuff.

A stock 330ci with a 5 speed is probably capable of a mid 14 second 1/4 mile with a good driver....You should easily have 1.5-2 seconds on him in a 1320 situation.

There are only 2 viable explanations.....

Either you suck or he was FI

Trying to pull back momentum will make you feel slow even against slow cars if you give them enough.

^^ Ok, yeah, he got a darn good hit, he was about passing me before I even jumped into it. I figured there was no way in hell his ride was that fast. I didn't hear any kind of FI on his car.
