Default Brought the 402 to the track last night...

02 EB Z06 402c.i. LS2
Compstar crank/rods, JE Pistons (-5cc),
TFS235s (67cc, ~11:1)
236-240-112-0 XER, comp lifters, HS RR 1.7,
Fast 90/90 by Vengeance, Halltech Airbox
1-3/4 Kook's LT with cats and stock Ti exhaust.
ATI Balancer, OZ700 Clutch, EFI Live V2.

11.30@124, with a few other sim passes. Thats on M/T ET St radials. The main restrictions on my setup are the cats and stock Ti exhaust. As soon as I have it dyno tuned, will post up graph.

I am open to suggestion for improvement at this time. I will probably do something with the exhaust.

Forgot to mention, engine is fairly new with about 900 miles on it.

Those mufflers get pretty restrictive on larger engines.

Lets see how she runs after you tune WOT. Doesn't sound like you've done that yet.

Yeah, I've strett tuned it best I can, but I need to get a dyno tune on it to clean up the A/F. I feel exhaust and a new cam coming in my life...

Sorry, don't remember talking to you, but I talked to a lot of people yesterday. The sad thing is my stock block 346 was just about as fast with a SMALL cam and heads Are you sure the old guy wasn't me.
I'm 46.

I've been watching that guy and his son for a while. A few years back we were racing stock w/nitrous. BTW, that 383 has OL, SD tune, 250+ dur cam at 0.050 and did you see it run a 10.13@135? His car is sick. He said that car is running in "Pinks" soon.

A little more work and I'll see what this combo is worth.

With your Set Up you should be running better times than that. Im guessing 10.80s.... Try a une from another place? Who tuned the car ??

And I wish I was there but I been in little hell, Mexico, haha for like 10 days already.

LOL, its my tuning on the street. I'm having Force Fed tune it for me this week
some time. I've got a few issues to contend with still...hopefully after its all cleaned up another 0.5 tenths and a few mph.

The motor is still tight and needs more break in miles. I just had mine freshened up and it's feels much better with miles on it. As mentioned above, ditch the cats (if you can) that is really hurting your ET.

BTW - What was your 60-ft and what is your AFR at WOT?

Actually, looks like a descent 60ft and A/F around 12.5 on avg I would say.

Looking at the log, it looks like you had wheel spin in 1st gear. That's the only thing I can fiure as to why your RPM droped while still at 99-100% TPS. I was wondering why your first gear looked soo much longer than your second.. Definately more in it.

those are the times i was hoping for with my 402 on sunday. **** my stock motor was just about as fast, on motor and faster on spray. It is mechanically sound, i just need some way way better tuning. And it was done by a sponsor.

Yeah, its not a huge cam, but the car drivess like stock on the street. That was what I was shooting for at first. Now, I'm reconsidering. I want more top end power. Probably going to step up to 242/246-113+2 or there about.
Not sure yet, gotta dyno tune it and yank the cats first to see what its got.

Yeah, I figured you were going for driveability, but in all honesty, I could fit that cam in my stock 346 without issue. Even the cam you're talking about swapping with is on the mild side for a 402, but should bump up your top end power like you said without sacrificing too much of the streetability.
