there are better options than the lt4, the lt4 is outdated. you can just build your lt1

IMO, the ONLY advantage of the LT4 stuff is that, stock for stock, the LT4 head castings are better than LT1's. However, with the AFR stuff out there, you could just go that route and they do better than the LT4's. Also, the LT4 intake has a lot more meat above the runner so you can raise the runner roof's quite a bit, which is good for power.

I think Summit had the kit to make an LT1 into a "LT4" but the power changes aren't worth it for the amount of money you spend.

I thought the LT4 only came in the 96 GS Corvette, but I could be wrong.

It also came in a few SS's and Firehawks in '97 and was balanced and blue printed by SLP. 29 Hawks were built with that motor and I want to say 100 SS's.

Converting to an LT4 would be a real huge waste of money IMO. A heads/cam package from Lloyd Elliot or Ai are cheaper and exhibit gains that blow the LT4 kit away.

Oh ok, so not many. And yeah, your going to blow that LT4 kit out of the water with basically ANYTHING else you go with these days
