Im in the market for an afrermarket cam, and was wondering which cam (perferably from Tx Spd & Performance) would suit my set up the best. Anyone here tried their products? Mods in sig, stock rear and transmission. Shooting for something in the +40-50rwhp range.

Thanks for the input,

-Zach

Zach 40-50rwhp is very easy to do. It doesn't take anything more than a 228R to make 40rwhp. The key is what goals do you have for the car? Driveability, tuning, etc. I'd like to see you in a Torquer 3 camshaft. The T3 gains easy 50rwhp to the tire & drives really well with a verter & a little bit of mail order tuning. :) :)

Well, the car is my DD(although I don't drive it very far to work and such), so i'd like to keep it fairly streetable. I don't regularly go to the track but do like to "get on it" sometimes, so I'm shy of too much power right now on the tranny and rear. I do plan on taking the car in to have a tune and dyno results. I guess my main concern is a cam that will effectively match my stall speed.

Again, thanks for the input.

Get the old TSP 231/237......i had it a while back and it is still one of my favorite cams now!

The 224r from TSP would probably be your best bet. It's a great cam with great driveability.

Howdy ho! That looks to be a good streetable cam, but I was thinking of going with the Torquer v.2. I think it will fit better with my stall speed.

Torquer v.3 may be a little too much for me, Jason 98 TA.

Check out the thunder racing TRAK cam very very nice, and should work good with your stall, or if you want something a little more mild then the tr227 extreme is also very nice
