I went with Thunder Racing's Reverse Split 230/224 .575/.563 111 LSA. Has a bit of a thump to it but a great daily driver and produced nice numbers on the dyno. I also went with Patriot Gold Dual Springs as well. They have the complete package with everything for right at 600.

Start with the first two links. Also the Gen III internal engine section would be a better place to get the answers you are looking for. The MS4 is a donkey dick cam that wouldn't be very friendly for daily use. JMO.

So you don't want 2 spend a lot, 2 make a stupid choice, and you need 2 be smogged. Then you need 2 post in the right forum..2

Like the other guys have said the MS4 is a donkey dick cam. Its way too big for a DD IMO. Personally I'd go with a 228 cam or something like that for a DD

Also it is not the most dd friendly cam, you could go a step or so smaller and have a much more civil cam and only give up about 10is hp. Don't buy a cam for sound, get the one that matches your combo the best. BTW, you should really be asking this on LS1 tech, not a Mustang forum.
He said it better than I could.

With an auto you wont be able to get a cam and related parts for it for $700 i dont think. You need first a cam and springs. You will also need a converter. Dont forget gaskets and fluids. I have a m6, so I have no idea how much they are for the LS1 f-body. If you can do all the work you will save alot, so just make sure the whole thing will fit in your budget before you start buying parts.

I used the MS3 in my 402ci and made great power with great driveability. The MS4 is way too big for a 346ci daily driver IMO. I would look into a 224R or 228R from Texas-Speed. Both have been proven to be good cams without sacrificing driveablity too much.
