Re: WTF is check sum error
I don't know LS1 edit specific.
However, in many applications a check sum is created when data is compiled. The data is transmitted along with the checksum.
When the data is recieved a new check sum is calculated from the data recieved. The new check sum is compared to the orginal check sum.
If the check sums match, there is a very good assurance the data wasn't corrupted when it was transmitted or recieved. So you are assured the data sent is what was recieved.
If the check sum doesn't match, then a check sum error occures.
In most cases, when this type of error occurs it means the data sent appears corrupt on the other end.
Car battery and laptop battery in a good state of charge with good connections? Any of the contacts on the pins dirty on any of the cables or connectors? Cable damaged in anyway?
That's probably all generic stuff, you've probably already considered.

Re: WTF is check sum error
Checksum might be an error on readback, but if it
happens consistently then it may well be a stored
checksum that was bad, from the a write glitch the
last time you programmed? If you can push a fresh
write, does this fix it? Might want to go back to
a known-good version if you save your files. No
kind of Edit Dude, but I know computers is stupid
and sometimes you gots to learn 'em upside.
