Finally got the SS going!
Well last night I took out the SS convertible.
Man, have I missed the feel of a V8 powered Camaro.
It is still stock, but it felt so good after 2 years of driving the Mitsubishi MonterSlow.
My son liked how a quick press of the pedal pushed him back in the seat, not to mention the sound of the exhaust when the RPMs got up a bit.
I told him that this has about twice the power of my 94 (3.4 V6) and that the 396 I am building will almost have twice the power of this car. He had a big smile.
I felt like a 17 yr old again.

Yup. Its actually a 395 stroker, not a true 396 all bore motor.
Yeah, I have the 98-02 body already on it (needs to be painted though) and the Sunoco hood in the garage waiting to go on.
I have a 98-02 interior ready to go in and complete interior and under hood harness from a 2002. I've rebuilt the used T56 that I bought, and just need to put the 396 back together (already had it together, but I pulled and disassembled the heads after porting the Fast intake).
