My first Dodge Challanger race:)
Well i was running to town to get groceries and was on my way home and looked in my rearview to see a New Challenger. He get's behind me and guns it to catch up and i threw a rev at him. pointed to slow down as we were at like 75mph. Got him down and told him 3 honks and he gave me the thumbs up. dropped it into 2nd and gave 3 honks. He hung with me to 65 when i slammed 3rd and i started to pull... HARD. At 110 i had 3.5-4 cars between us. I had my g/f with and a load of groceries in the back haha but yeah we pulled off to a gas station and talked and he said he wasn't expecting that and that my car sounded real sick he was cool, but said he may not be trying that again soon unless he knows what he's getting into. Guy was real cool. Also said that from a dig i would likely have beat him worse and he wouldn't do it~Cole~

Until the price comes down on those things, I don't think you're gonna see any impressively fast Challengers on the street anytime soon. I think we'll see some impressively fast R/T's (modded of course) out there before we see any quick SRT8s. JMO.
Good race though man. They are some good lookin cars. Bet they look even better in your rearview mirror.

Way to slaughter that pig!
What in the hell do those fellows do when they take out a $65,000 loan on one of the god damn things and next year they still owe 50something while brand new ones are selling for $40,000 and below?
Maybe those folks don't mess with loans. Just a random thought.

yeah they are overpriced 4X4's with no towing capability. They seriously sit almost as high as my '00 Silverado lol It sounded real good. Idk if he had mufflers or not but when he first was comin' up behind me and i recognized the headlights he gunned it and i had mine in 6th so it wasn't loud and i could hear it. Sounded decent. I was just really stoked to get a race against one just to see how they do. I'm not stock by any means but i figured they'd do good from a roll because the 300C SRT8's are supposed to be good from a roll i've heard....

I was taking some scrap metal to the junkyard yesterday in my parent's Ford Aerostar van. It's the full length AWD model, and they weigh it before drop off and then after. Lets just say that it weighs about 100lbs less than a new Challenger.
Good kill!

Good kill. They look great but they seem really weak. There are a few Turbo Challengers on Youtube but even with only 121 mph traps, thats still really weak.

I'm calling BS on this.
SOrry, but groceries in back of a C5..come on now.
Kidding, nice kill. THey are roughly low 13s, high 12s, have great exhaust form the factory, and it seems the owners are very much the 'out of touch with performance' and buying into the name and 'hoopla'.

Regardless, a H/C C5 will put serious lengths on an SRT-8.

My comment about the fast R/T's alluded to the fact that I can see that model being the one hotrodders will flock to more than the SRT8. Largely because the SRT8's are commanding such inflated ADM's at the moment. I believe the R/T's will be much more reasonable, and just a short list of mods away from making some impressive times.
