Default F1a or D1sc

My friend wants to know if you would prefer an F1a or D1sc on a street car with a built A4, built 9.3:1 347 shooting for 600-650 rwhp. My friend is aware neither will be maxxed out but he really likes the sound of a loud blower and race bypass but is concerned if 600-650 rwhp will be out of efficiency on a 347 with an F1a or if either will be a fine option Which would you pick!?

D-1 will have that HP range covered easy..If he wants to go higher than those numbers I would move up to an F-1a..Jeremy

I think a D1 would get there no problem, but the F1 is a bad ****...It all depends if he's going "bigger" in the future and wants more. We all want more so tell em to just go with the F1a lol oh and it sounds like a dam F16 which is a plus

he doesnt want much more, its a pure street car and 600-650 is about the traction limit for the street. I am just wondering if the D1sc will outperform the f1a at this power boost level or if they should perform roughly the same.

IM sure KP will chime in. i believe he has both blowers on his current setup. the F1A will definately be much louder. either way should be a bad car!

For your friend's goals I'd say D1SC and call it good.

yea, i'm positive the d1sc will fit the bill, however if this goal is also in the efficiency zone of an f1a, mise well go that route for the cool factor right? Only reason my friend wont get the F1a is if it will be a slug in this set-up.

I have run the F1A pretty slow (7.25/4.5 pulley) and its no slouch.

My main complaint withe the F1A is the noise, but thats not a problem obviously for your friend

IMO just for the resale aspect if you are buying a new kit I would probably do the F1A if it wasnt a huge step up in price from the D1SC. While the big blower slowed down wont be as efficient as the smaller blower at that HP level it most likely wont even be noticeable. Not to mention the F1A will give you a little room to grow, the F1A isnt a huge jump from the D1SC, but for me it was worth a couple tenths and a few mph over the D1SC so for me it was worth it since thats all I wanted.

But OTOH I wouldnt turn down a good deal on a D1SC setup either..

im with kp on this but i have never had a d1 or an f1 but i have looked a the guys that have run both and there does not seem to be that big of a difference i want around the 600-650 make my self, i was offered a great deal on a d1 so that what i am going with... going to pick it up this weekend, but if i were buying it new and if the price difference from a d1 to an f1 is the same or close to the same as the price difference of a p1 to a d1 then id go that way i hope this makes since
