The total weight savings with new tires was 31.8# over the iForged rims with half worn out tires.

Looks, well I am happy :)

Thanks to Steve @ SJM for answering about a dozen 'tire kicker' calls over the past 3 years and being patient with me. Hopefully I can put these sucka's in the 8's and it will all pay off.

Those look absolutely killer man! Nice choice...my fave fbody wheel of all time.

So did you have a hook up on those 315 MTs or just use the ones you had from the previous set? You'll have to let us know how those continental fronts treat you, they look pretty good and fit the wheel very well.

the rear tires are scuffs i found locally.. lucky score there.

i am holding on to my other MT rears just in case

i have only taken a trip around the block to check the lug nuts so far, but the car seems to ride and react nice to the contisports. they are 3# each lighter than new kumho mx's.

Looks fantastic! Its great to see a satisfied customer.

Each wheel designs are built to suit the customer. This particular design, will take just about any type of stress with ease. They are designed for hard core road racing where stress/strain is very high.

steve, only thing i would change if i could would be to reduce the front backspacing by 1/2 or so. looks like they sit about that much further in than the rear wheels. this also would have allowed more room for a tapered lip like the rears as opposed to the flat face that the fronts have.

mine compared to this front wheel for example which is more of what i was hoping for.

thanks for the responses. again the rear tires are lightly used second hand. i will be making some lower power passes this friday.

Those are sweet! I think the tapered lip would be the icing on the cake though.

what i did for this (running gm zr1 wheels front and 11's in back) was put a 5/16th spacer on the front (the billet ones baer makes) and i already have 3" arp studs in front and it brought them out real nice. and with the rears fluch with the rear fenders it looks 100x better.

Nice...not quite my cup of tea, but you can't argue with the weight difference or the rubber you have them wrapped in.

Cool wheels. I got those exact ones. It looks like our backspacing is the same on the fronts and back. I have had mine for a few years now. No problems really. My little bolts got rusty over time but that is an easy fix. I was like you when deciding about these wheels. I went back and fourth with e-mails to Steve from SJM. Great service, great product.

eh saving only 32lbs, not worth the coined wasted, IMO. practically save that same weight removing the rear seat for free. hell even just the spare tire and jack...

not a fan of the design, not enough spoke. i would of hoped for the $$$ you had a say in design/style. now if you did have a say in design, hhmmm...

you rims in your sig look better but even those wheels i dont care for. again, only my opinion.

as long as you are pleased, that's all that matters...

MIGHTYMOUSE
08-26-2008, 12:52 PM
thanks

yea jack and spare are out, carpet insulation is out, a/c stuff is out, emissions out, bmr front end, lightweight 9" rear

back seat doesnt weigh shit and looks good in there

not hacking the car and not removing safety equipment

32# of rotational weight is a lot actually. i am pleased.

As he eluded to, 32 lbs of rotational weight is worth FAR more than 32 lbs of dead weight. You might want to do some reading about it.
