Default Rattle can for lid?

I want to paint my air intake lid and I was thinking about sanding it smooth and then using Krylon Fusion spraypaint for plastic and a few coats of clear to make it shine. Has anyone else used this method? Good results or bad?

I did the same with mine but I used the same clear on my car that I did on the lid and FRCs. Much more durable and haven't had any problems for the last couple years

Mine was a textured MTI lid that I sanded smooth. It wasn't too hard except the edges around the lip took a little time to work on.

I did that on a friends and it was a bitch...

Mine is an SLP and was super easy. Came smooth as it is and I just sanded it a bit more to have the paint stick.
