Exclamation Bent push rod?

okay so ive had this problem for a little over a month.. My exhuast has been poping like no other it would put a dumdumdumdum to shame.. when i floor it it pops and misses through the entire RPM range then when i let off it pops so loud and hard that you can feel it in the seat.. now i have home made 02 exstensions witch i thought was the problem for the terrible poping and missing but my friend just brought to my attention that i could have a bent push rod and set off my knock sensor.. now i wrote this really fast without my thought so any ideas? it is a 98 LS1 with 112K long tube headers no cats and no rear 02 sensors and no tune btw

I'd go ahead and get a set of real o2 extensions or some bosch 13111 o2s.

I would put money on an ignition problem. Most likely a fouled or cracked spark plug especially if the headers and/or plugs were recently put in.
Read of the problem several times on this board, most people disagree at first, can't be the new plugs, etc. A few have posted back after finding a bad plug or wire.

I'd also put money on it not being a bent pushrod, especially setting off the knock sensors.

About the 13111 O2's, read this https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...ighlight=p0153
They're colder than stock apparently, most people think they are hotter, and hotter is what they're looking for.

Assuming such without getting the codes pulled could keep you from finding out that there may be a code that could explain why it's acting the way it is

Pushrods should be fine unless you over revved the the motor at some point.
