Default Physically removing CAGS Solenoid

I want to remove the solenoid completely on my T56 for clearance reasons. I saw one post somewhere that did it and if I remember correctly they used a freeze-plug to cover the opening. Does anyone have any more specific information re doing this? Thanks. -Bob
