Does anybody know of a good shop were I can take my engine to get worked on? Bore and Hone, deck, etc. I would like to get some forged rods and pistons and keep the stock crank. Im going forced induction and would like to get any opinions or if anyone has had experience with any local shop, I dont want to ship.

Any info is appreciated :chug:

Definitely hit up SP performance, he has great prices and works with QMP which is one of the best machining shops around period! Rob is also very experienced with boost :D

Call Ryne at CMS they are in Lake Elsinore. He also has connections that may be closer to you. ------------------->Sponsor Bar-------->

I also recommend Strictly Performance. They are located in Van Nuys, CA (not too far from Sylmar) and have been around for years.

I take my car to Rob at Strictly all the time. I already checked with him. Just want to know what else is out there. Thanks for the input guys.

Anybody else know where else I can take it to? My cousin had his 383 built at Hawaii Racing.

I also need to buy the forged internals, Ive been lookin at our sponsors and spoke to chris at cc performance and was very helpful

I have had block work done by Burbank Speed And Machine back when I was building my 406 and putting it together myself and they did very nice work.
If you are looking for a shop to do everything for you, my vote is for CMS. A bit of a drive, maybe 90 miles, but worth it. I am just south of you in San Fernando btw

Give us a call and we will do our best to work with you... It's normally better to buy the parts through the person you are having the motor built that way we know the condition of everything when it comes in rather than trying to call other shops if we have to get something replaced on warranty.

ya your best bet is just to call around and see what people have to offer, but like Alex said it is good to do it all at one place.

here is a stock crank camaro that Strictly performance built that has 830rwhp

Sorry to hijack your post Mario but... Alex, is that Kenne Bell kit in your sig $8000 installed or just parts.

If just parts what does it include? My friend Neil was JUST talking about ordering one...

Thats the procharger I bought from Rob. He gave a great deal and is a good guy to work with. Rob usually does all my work.

I'll be giving you guys (sponsors) on Monday regarding the engine.

Now to decide if I want to stroke it to a 383 or just keep it 347:confused:. I dont want to have too much grunt down low and not be able to put it to the ground like if Im at a skating rink. Decisions decisions :chug:
