Painted lid question
I painted my lid a while back and have no idea how to get it to stop rubbing on the hood. It wore thru the paint and the primer. so i want to repaint it but it will just rub off again i don't want to cut any of the hood. But i fear thats my only option anyone else have this problem and know how to deal with it?

Where is it rubbing? Mine was rubbing on the front right corner of my Z28 hood. I tried grinding down the lid and the inside of the hood and it still did it. I dont know if there is any 100 % fix for the rubbing. You may want to try moving your hood latch mechanism up a bit. That might raise the front enough to at least make it better. I dont know if adjusting the rubber stops would work cause of how the Firebird hood comes to a point between the headlights.

Same problem here too, rub top right before the inlet into the MAF. What suck is i had it custom painted, this pic doesn't show it since it was taken it came home from the painter, but right above the the guitar head to the right.

I tried both, the K&N filter with the foam gasket and the paper one. Both rub bad. I was thinking of heating up the SLP lid and pressing that part down.
I just don't want to screw up my lid.
