LSX block with F1a?
Im putting together a 427 lsx block is it possible to hit the 1000rwhp mark with a f1a or is it to much for it and I have to step up to something bigger?

It is possible but u would have to probably get a larger crank pulley made and still pulley the hell out of it and hope u dont get belt slippage, much easier trying it will an f1c or larger if u just have to have 1000rwhp.

Your power output is dictated by the amount of air the blower can flow.
I dont think a F1A is capable of 1000rwhp unless its through a manual trans and a light drivetrain to be honest. Doesnt matter if its 250 or 500CID.
I'm sure on a 90 degree day in Colorado with a 1.4 correction factor on a dynojet it can do it though, but an honest uncorrected 1000rwhp at sea level I dont think so.

I'm sure an F1R will do it, it 'fits' but you have to do something to drive it with no slip. I dont think any present drives for an F-body will handle a full output F1R for long, but if you are just after a dyno number I'm sure you could do it with an F1R or F1C with whats out there. I just dont think an F1A can do 1K rear wheel.
But what the heck, why not try, thats what its all about

hey KP, my friend has the F1R and he has the true tech steel bracket and the SDCE? 8 rib with the support brace and a gatorback belt. you think it would slip real bad? he talked to SDCE and they said it would handle it.. but i want to know what you think.
i never seen the f1a or any of the other F series in person but my friend's F1R. It fit the true tech bracket which i believe is the exact same thing as the procharger stock aluminum one. it does get pretty close to the bottom radiator metal thing which we trimmed. the only problem i think is the intake which he is working on...he's gonna do something like what a fellow ls1tech memeber did but cut the pipe shorter where it attaches to the procharger inlet to fit behind the radiator/lower area.

I use the same setup and it will slip with an F1A when its pullied high enough, its pretty obvious when it does it. Like I said the F1R does fit on the bracket, thats not the problem.
An F1R takes a lot to turn, lot more than an F1A so who knows, only thing you can do is try it.
You can get a 90 and big filter on there without a problem, but if I was looking for dyno numbers a bellmouth on the F1R doesnt take much room

Were working something up that will be all or none in regards to traction

Scott's 3500lb challenger (the guy who makes the SDCE) has run 8.50s/160 or so with a spring tensioned 8 rib F1R combo so certainly its possible use an F1R with whats on my car I guess. I'm looking forward to see what you guys come up with though..

I don't believe my friend moved his radiator, i think it fit fine but the inlet is just real close to the front. I think he just cut the sheet metal like the picture i posted above. I believe this is why space is so limited as far as intakes go and it looks like the intake will barely fit..if it does. The F1R sticks out towards the radiator a little more compared to the F1A in that red car. He does have the SDCE dual fans but im not sure how much more room that gave him since it was already on the car. I might be wrong though!
