Default The first ever 4th gen light up switches

OK so ive been trying to perfect them. this is a teaser as its too light out to take some light up pics. i am including one from one of my tests...but i keep repainting them as i havnt been happy with them. i am finally happy.

BTW my stupid camera is putting way too much glare on the switches.

thanks.

paint should be fine as long as nobody purposely scratches them. its not hard to remove them to repaint.

damn steve, how many screen names do you have? lol

Nice! You might want to look into ~02 Silverado's for light up switches. My ex's truck had them and they seemed about the same size as f-bodies.

Very cool and unique! Looks alot better then when you first started out trying it! Gives your interior a small something that no one else really has!

If your down, I'd like for you to make me a set, I would of course pay the shipping (both ways if needed)

as of right now, it took me several weeks to get this far, of course mostly trial and error. If i can find a way to make them with minimal cost (including time) then ill become a sponsor and offer them for sale.

I did a feeler on another site, and people said that the price id offer them at, nobody would want them. its one of those things that people think is cool, but when you see the price, youre like WTF, hell no. lol

I definately give you credit for having em done first and for a fresh idea on doing it. I'll see if I can get mine painted up today and get some pics on my thread.

fast01z28,
Here's about what my finished one will look like! I still need to add a second coat of black and lightly wet sand em, but this is basically it! Hand painted with Testors enamel model paint.

Props to both of you! Dave, they look really good for prototypes, keep it up!

Also, don't worry about the paint coming off... All of my custom switches (I used factory switches for things like Nitrous, Purge, Garage Door Opener, Aftermarket Foglights, etc...) have spray paint on them (to cover up things like ASR) and they have NOT rubbed off in over a year...
