Default Strange 12-Bolt disassembly and axel removal???

I'm trying to get my axel out of my strange rear end to look at is and see what shape the bearings are in and what condition the axel is in. I talked to a few people and have done what they said to try and get the axel out. It has not been as easy as I have expected.
I took the wheel off, the caliper and caliper mount too. Took the diff. cover off and removed the c-clip in the diff. and it still wouldn't slide out. What else do I need to remove to get it to come out????? I need to get this thing out! Any help would be really really appreciated.
Here are two links of pics to help you see what I have taken apart:

Wheel End

Thanks.

Why do you have c-clips with a Strange 12 bolt??? Did you not order the c-clip eliminators??

If you do indeed have c-clips, then once the clip is out then nothing else is holding the axle in and it will slide right out.

My "guess" is that you don't and you need to remove the brake backing plates from the housing and then the axle will slide out.

It should slide out if you have removed the c-clips. If it's not sliding out then you are gonna have to remove the 4 nuts on the backing plate. It should slide out then.

bring this back from the dead:

Anybody got a trick for removing the 4 nuts on the backing plate? Last time i think i used a serpentine belt removal tool in order to get a socket on it.

Yes...this thread is old as ****. Wow.

The last time I took those 4 nuts off, I used an offset wrench to get in there (I think). I had to remove the entire parking brake assembly, but it wasn't all that difficult.
