Can this be repaired? Not sure if this is the right section to post this but here it goes
Ok, so a friend of mine's car got hit by another driver who was towing a trailer and just happened to switch over to his lane and ended up doing a good amount to damge to his passenger side.
My question for those of you that work at body shops, does it looked like it can be fixed? what would be the best way to fix it? if so, around how much is he looking to spend?

looks like it was just the rear quaterpanel that took all the force. It can be fixed, but the old fender is gonna have to be cut off and you are going to have to find a donor. All the body panels lining up correctly will depend on the type of job that body shop does.

yes it can, its not as bad as it looks. the spot welds have to be drilled out and some minor grinding to remove the quarter panel. there are companies that make replacement quarter panels for 4th gens but none are coming to mind. ill search them for u and let u know what i find

if you can find a quarter panel in a junk yard or someone parting out a t/a shell your not in that bad of shape. all of the damage looks purely to the quarter panel without any sub frame damage. i was once quoted $1600 for quarter panel replacement and paint, so if a bodyshop put your new quarter panel on that you supplied you would be looking at around a grand for install and paint from a reputable shop

its goin to have to be welded into place also...i am a certified welder and body shop owner and i charge 85 an hour jsut to weld and 70 an hour to do body and paint plus supplies usually.....your looking at probably 7-9 hours in cutting out the current quarter and welding the new one in and and about 3-5 hours in body work and about an 2-3 to prep, prime, paint, and clear it....so if you went with me thats what i would charge add that up and there you go... you can look around and typically find a shop that will do it for 75-100 depending on how good they are..
