Default Post up laptop mounting pics.

Anybody have pictures of a bracket (stationary or swivel) that supports their laptops while driving? I just have mine on my seat for now and would like to make a braket to hold up at eye level etc...

Ram mount with a couple inches taken off the main tube to lower it a bit. It adjusts to any angle, different heights, it works great.

Dunno.. I've had it for years. I think I got mine on Ebay. It was around $175 or so I think. The Ram mounts are not cheap but they are damn sturdy and tough. Its the same company that many police cars use to mount their laptops.

here are a couple photos of the mount and how ling the tubes are after I cut them down.

and a PDF showing a bit more detail of how it mounts and looks..

Did yours come looking liek that pdf, or did it have 3 legs on it? Almost looks like it just bolts to the floor? Or is it the seat bolts?

It is relative to the positioning and the size of your passenger. 6'+ passengers will not like it. Before I lowered mine the passenger could not see over it-which can kinda make one a little nervous/sick.

It bolts to the pass seat bolts and has a tube sticking up at one end for the mount to slide into. the one in the pic is the exact mount. I just shortened tubes because it sits ungodly high out of the box. I drove a power tour with the laptop going and a passenger. I had the laptop moved more over the center council. It was in the way of the shifter but it was for long driving with the GPS going and I didn't want it in the passengers face. It also works to raise up and put it in front of the pass to watch movies. you can separate it easily and leave just the tube sticking up. If its a shortened tube its not too obtrusive either. Also because it mounts to the seat belt bolts its easy to remove. I'm happy with it overall.
