Default Will they fit?

What will it take to make a set of 315/35/17 on 11 inch wheels fit under my 93 formula? or will they? I have a chance to get a set of 11 in and 9.5 wheels and tires kind of cheap. However, if they wont fit cheap is a relative term.....

A BFH and/or wheel spacers (depending on how much BFH action takes place!).

I agree with the use of a BFH, and also with the BFP (big f---in prybar) in other cases.

Post in the wheels and tires section. There are a lot of people running 11" 17s with 315s.

Nope, this is not engine related and this is a 4th gen site, look around, and you will see a wheel and tires section....

This site has sections for cars that are not 4th gen based bodies and thats when its considered appropriate to ask that question in that specifc forum.

I agree with you that this isn't engine related, and I also know there is a Wheel and Tire section; however, a 1993 F-Body is a 4th Generation, no way around that.

In that light: While this is the LT1-LT4 section, 99% of those are in an F/Y/B-Body car. And probably a good 85% are F-Body. So it's just force of habit for someone with a LT1/4 engine car, to ask even non-engine related questions here. I post very few questions in the "Pontiac Firebird" section and even fewer in other sections. Why? Because they either get no replies, or little replies. I posted once in the Tuning section and got no responses, posted here and got my answers.

There are many things that float around in this section cause we all have LT1 style 4th Gens.. not necessarily Engine related.

I swapped in a LS based Engine in mine, I supposed in your eyes I'm not welcome here either..

Weak man..

First, read all about 11 inch wheels and 315/35/17 tires here:

https://ls1tech.com/forums/wheels-tires/120716-wheels-tires-everything-you-should-need-know-here-must-read.html

Assuming you have the correct offset, you shouldn't need spacers.

You will have to roll the wheel housing lip and do some "adjusting" with that BFH on the inner wheel housings. An adjustable panhard bar would help center your rear as with tires this tight, you'll need all the centering you can get.

I've noticed going from BFG DR's to Summitomo tires a little more space and less rubbing on those krazy turns. Proves that some tires are a bit smaller.

I have 17x11 ZR1's out back with the Grand Sport offset with 335/35/17's, No rolling of the fender lip, no adjustable panhard bar just a little inner fwd wheel well adjustment, No problems at all, BUT....yes if you hang corners like a SCCA car it will rub the inner well and if your buddies had too many cheeseburgers and sit in the backseat and you hit a dip it will rub also...
