Default How does it look (cleaned up 99 Z28 engine)

Its got about 55K miles on it, was sitting for awhile, and looked filthy before I got a hold of it (wish I took some before pics).

Its the first one I ever cleaned. How does it look? It looks like I missed a spot by the air intake (plastic piece around it). I didnt go over the top and make it shiny.. But rather just clean it.

If anyone has any tips or suggestions, please let me know how you do it.

Looks clean You can get a smooth lid to replace the stock lid and silencer. Also get rid of the EGR if you don't need it to pass emissions; tune it out and get block off plates.

For a quick and easy way to make your engine bay look a lot better, check us out! We sell a whole set of polished and brushed stainless dress up items: http://store.specializedstainless.com

Since you have an ORY I would get rid off the Air and Egr first. Then do the wire mod / hood cable relocation. The simplest thing to do is buy a lid!

Looks great! You wouldn't be able to guess it's a nine year old car from that pic!

What cleaning products did you use?

your cruise control cable isn't hooked up to your throttle body where that black plastic piece on the end of the cable snaps onto it. but it looks good, man!

I spotted that right off too. Its a 15mm nut, easy to find. Connect that TB cable also. Other than that, you did a really good job cleaning everything up!
