Default y-pipe screwup, can you find it?

It took me a real long time to figure it out, and i'll admit, I'm sure its even harder looking at a picture, but does anyone here think they can see the mistake my shop guy made? Clue, he couldnt get the driver side cat correct and had to order an extra piece to make it all work. But which mistake led him down that road?

I'll tell you guys tomorrow if he fixes it for free, even though he didnt use the clamps that i gave him, and now its a big mess...

Um, I have no idea, but you shouldn't have the pipes coming together into such a sharp merge like that. It's almost a "T" not even a "Y" You're probably forcing exhaust from one bank right into the other one.

Go Grimes! 7 min after i post and you practically have it. So explain this to me, why would Texas-speed make something shaped like a "T" rather than a "Y"? Heres a pic from texas speed of their product properly installed

no, its a Y pipe. it was installed sideways. the shortest arm should have pointed to the drivers side cat, but instead is pointing to the cat-back...

lol yeah he welded it in there crooked, the drivers side it connected to where the exhaust should be exiting into the straight pipe. you need to give i a 1/4 turn. lol.

It sounds awesome. No rasp, no rattle, not even when i let off the gas. I'm starting to even like the placement, except for the way they feed into the I pipe. You guys think I should just replace that Y piece? or would it be really hard to find the right angles to make that work? I do have MTI racing located 3 miles away, should they just fix it? They are a sponsor here and are the people doing my tune this week or next week...
