Trans am bumper on a Formula?
Hey guys,
I have some quarter sized paint chips on my bumper, right next to the license plate along with some spider cracks. I thought about just going to a body shop and having it repaired but am now thinking about replacing it with a trans am bumper. I love how they sort of wrap around the tail pipes, so has anyone done this to their non trans am bird? if so post some pics please! Also the 98-02 bumper will fit on the 93-97s right? Thanks

Yes, the Trans Am rear bumpers are the same from 93-02 but your car is going to look funny if you don't get Trans Am ground effects and front bumper to match. The body line of the Trans Am rear bumper is much lower than the sides of the Firebird Formula. I tried it back when I was converting my 94 Firebird Formula to the Trans Am body. I'll see if I can find some of my old pictures to help with your decision.
