Default questions about diablosport programmer

i recently purchased a 99 camaro ss m6. It came with a diablosport predator programmer. i recently plugged it to check it out and it when i went to tune it, it made a backup file of the stock tune like it hadn't been installed yet. if anyone can tell me wether or not i'm right or if it erased my factory tune i would really appreciate it. the version when the programmer is powered up is version 2.02, thanks

All it has done is save a copy of the backup file.
If you did not choose to install a tune at that point, you are still running the stock tune.
It will not change that until you choose to install a tune.

Thanks
Mike

and since it made the copy of the original backup, it is now locked to your vehicle and can only be used on your vehicle at this point.
