... with my t-tops out and 2 people in the car. Yes I said 2 people, I actually got someone in my backseat!
Anyway I was on the freeway coming home and saw a nice looking black SS. I pulled along side him and downshifted and goosed the throttle to see if he would bite. Right after he droppped behind me, I thought he wasn't going to. So as soon as I press the clutch and go to put it back in 6th, sure enough here he comes.
I have to put it back into third and get back on it, he is about 1 car in front already but I am able to stop his pull and get back even and start pulling ahead in fourth gear. OK not the best or fair race, so we try again.
I downshift into third again, doing about 65ish. I goose it to let him take the hit and as soon as he does I start pulling hard on him. I put about 4 cars on before I let off -- somewhere around 110, maybe 120. We do this again one more time for laughs with the same result.
He gave me the thumbs up, I returned the favor. I didn't hear anything, so I'm pretty sure it was stock. While it wasn't close, I give the guy props for not being a douche and have a nice clean LT1.
