Default trying to remove my cat back.

Im taking off my new magnaflow to sell it. I got rear ended and my old exhaust system was damaged so i had to have a shop replace it in order for insurance to pay for it. anyway they put the clamps on so tight it crimped the metal together where the pipes go together and i cant get them apart for anything. Ive tried wd-40, hammer and pulling as hard as i possibly can.

any ideas on how to get this off without damaging it? i was thinking maybe a torch but i dont have one and i dont know anyone who has one.

Too late now...but this is a great reason to spend the ~$10/ea or so for nice band clamps. Tighten down the U-clamps and you crimp the pipes and most likely have to hack it off.

I have visions of you removing the spring/shock and trying to slide it out the side...
