Thumbs up EMBLEMPROS.COM's mirror stainless air dam - Check it out!

Prototype for F-bodies Price will probably be around $150 (unconfirmed and subject to change) due to the mirror stainless. I'm going to inquire about brushed to see if I can get the cost down. Anyway, what do you guys think?

No, you're not. I'm worried about that too, but that's just the way it is. I wouldn't even try to convince someone that you will keep this good of a finish if you drive the car often. However, there are show car guys that would love this piece. I expect to sell a lot of these in a brushed finish to your average person, but the mirror one will sell to those who want that little extra something in the car show.

You'll spot this thing on a car a mile away

You guys need to get busy on making under the hood mirrors for non-ram air formulas

no offense, but you know in 3 days it'll be scraped, banged, "rocked-up", and possibly scraped off or bent backwards.....and that's on a stock car! On a lowered car fugetaboutit...... but I like where your head is!

EDIT: I posted this before the last 2 posts were up...

I have too, but not in mirror polished finish. That's why I'm going to ask about pricing on a brushed finish, which is what you see on eBay.

I bought one in 05 that was stainless polished. My Hawk is a D/D and I have never had any problems. Never scraped, bent. My Y pipe scrapes more than anything on the Hawk. The guy lived somewhere in Va that made them, so I'm glad to see thet are made again! If you look at my sig you can see it good. I hated the black plastic stock one but that's just me, I want nothing but stainless cause you only buy it once.

I just ordered one off of fleabay. My stock one is trashed from the previous owner.

The one I got is actually 1 inch shorter than stock so scraping it shouldn't be so bad. It is just plain polished stainless, not mirrored, which should hold up to some abuse. I have a polished stainless brush guard on my truck that still looks good after years of abuse.

The only time mine ever comes close to scraping is loading it on and off the trailer......

Matt are these the same as stock or are they shorter like the ebay one? If they are short I will be one of the first to order one, but if not you will have to redesign it (I have about 1/4in to play with now loading and unloading!)

Once we have this design finalized, we can make you one however you want, but I can't promise it will function as it's supposed to.

its function is to send air up past the radiator to keep the car cool and direct air to the intake. unless youre a trailor queen and never see 30 mph lol

Wow, thanks for clearing that up. But I think thats the function of the ugly black plastic stock one...if you put a mirrored stainless one on there I suspect your worried a little more about form than function. Plus I guess you missed the part where I said the only time mine comes close to scraping is loading it on and off the trailer.

Also I dont think it has a thing to do with directing air into he intake anyway. If you look at the way the air is routed it all goes through the radiator. The intake opening is infront of the ducting the air damn causes the air to go through and there is a black plastic piece seperating the two. At least on a Firebird there is. And since the airbox on my Firehawk is sealed to the hood openings I know for a fact it doesnt get any air flow from the air dam.

if you cut the bottom out of the filter housing it will direct air into the intake .. thats how you install the SLP ram/air kit , but the air dams main function is to get air to the radiator ..
