T-fittings VS Y-fittings
At what hp point does running a T-fitting become a restriction? I have a dual stage system with a -6an main feed going into a T then to 2 solenoids. I'm having a hard time making over 250hp and i'm wondering if the T in the system is acting as a restriction. I'd like to step up to 300hp (150 per stage), but increasing jet sizes only gives me a tq increase, but no more hp

Yes your probably at the point that the "T" does in fact interfere with flow, change that bad boy out. Here's an example, a straight shot with a -4an line could produce capabilitiy of 400rwhp, now everytime we add a hard 90°, a filter, a "T" we knock that overall capability down. When I absolutely need to run a hard 90° or "T", I always up size it one time to negate the added restriction. Sweep 90°'s are much better than hard 90°'s also. There is some complicated math that spells this out for the engineer types, but you get the idea.
