Default Y-pipe: Kooks fits Hookers and Jet Hot fits Hookers??

So wouldn't Jet Hot fit Kooks? I need a Y-pipe for my APS kit. I was going to get the stainless steel Kooks Y but I can get the Jet Hot with cats for only another $100 more. I'm putting low-profile cutouts in front of the cats so it wouldn't restrict flow and should help with the fuel smell a little. I'd rather have stainless to match my APS kit but the Jet Hot Y is coated. Will it work? Which one would you do? Think the cats would hurt flow even with the cutouts open? Would the cats help with the fuel smell? If not, there's no point.

I have a Hooker y-pipe on my Kooks so I would think it would work, because Hookers are the same as jet hots
