my timing chain,besides linin up the dots, what else do i need to doif anything?

Put a little locktite on the cam sprocket bolts.

I have a very bad feeling that you are getting in WAY over your head with all of this...

Check, check and double check the dot alignment. Anything less is asking for potential engine trouble and a really, really bad day at the dyno. Trust me. Rotate that crank a few times and see where they are.

i might be but what the hell. i already did the cam swap and put everything back together, but didnt do a double roller timin chain.so far my troubles arnt too too bad. doin the spring swap i losr a few keepers. timin chain is a bitch to line up just right. had a hard time with the steering rack. so ill tear it back down and do it again
