Default new parts/projects

So i was out of town all week for my grandfathers funeral, and when i can home, a few parts were here for me.

My car never came with a power steering cooler, so i got this one. I polished it up. the tail lights are going to be made into LED tails. Itl be a long project, but im going to finish raptor_ws6s stuff first.

and heres the 4.5 gen tails compared to the early 4th gen tails.

thanks.

i like the stock ones, but on the red camaros, the early 4th gens seem to match much better. Also, those LED tails on ebay are really cool, but i dont like the reverse light on them, i like this design much better.

I think someone should have just bought an LT1 (LT1 tails, LT1 SS spoiler, etc...) and called it a day

Why not just make the LS1 tails red like Neil and I did?

What tipped you off? When Dave said, "the early 4th gen tails." or when I said, "LT1 tails..." ?!?!

shut up. HAHA

no..the LT1 tails match up to the lines much better, if you notice, the reverse lights line up to the lines of the hatch...where on the LS1 tails no lines match up at all. not sure what GM was thinking when they changed it.

wait...you just asked how much i paid, then you say i could have gotten another one cheaper. haha I paid $25 shipped from ebay.

i got the factory one because of the ease of installation, and because i just wanted to have the factory option on my car.

well i paid $33 for mine from PAW at nordoff and Oso. its a long frame rail cooler that bolts right up to the bottom radiator support. there is no way to know weather the factory one is going to just give up and leak oil all in the coolent. here is an example pic of mine

i know the factory cooler also needs a new return line to reach the cooler then go back to the reservoir. you also need a clip that holds it on the radiator shroud.

Ummm... looks good but won't it trap more heat and cool less now with the paint on it?

How the hell did you get the tail light apart? I know people who have wanted to do that for years and never got it apart...
