Default Wiring rader detector

What is the best way to hard wire my radar detector? So I don't have to run the cord down to the cigarette lighter.

What kind of radar detector?

The best way is to wire it directly to the fuse box through the headliner and down the A-pillar.

you can also wire it right there into the rear view mirror wiring if that is where it will be mounted. there is this thing called invisicord that comes ready to hookup and go.

I for one, took the next step and wired my own mute button and indicator LEDs:

You could always go this route

That LED set up is pretty cool. But I don't think I could pull off something that complex. Its going to be under the rear view mirror so i think I'm going to see about just wiring it into the mirror. That is, as soon as I get my new alternator in.

All you need to do is just get a 12 volt source that shuts off when you take the keys out and a ground. It's very easy, just look around the fuse panel and the wires under the steering wheel. It takes longer to hide all the wires and to make it look good then wiring it.
