So do i need another tune adding 2 lbs of boost?

Red face So do i need another tune adding 2 lbs of boost?

I am going from 6 lbs to 8lbs. Thanks

Yes, you will want your tune touched up.

You don't want to chance it, get the tune looked at. 2 psi is a big change! You're going to be amazed at how much more power you're going to have! Bob

To be the counterpoint, guess it depends what tune you have in the car. MAF = yes, retune for more air entering the system. If it's 2-bar SD the values are interpolated, so it might be close.

Retuning is the best answer, (and the right answer). But whether you're SD or MAF is the factor to determine if the current tune is unsafe w/ higher boost.......

Like Schantin said, if your a MAF tuned car, you are most likely peggin the MAF meter at 6psi anyways. Any more airflow will not be metered and it will go lean.

If your SD tune was done right, it should be pretty close, just have to check on timing and KR.

thanks guys!!! good thing i get to go in for a touch up on the tune at no charge! the initial tune was done 2 weeks ago.
