Default Amp power wire to battery terminal
So I picked up the side post adapter, Do I take the existing bolt out of the cable? IF so is there a trick to it?

Yeah, pull the old bolt. Just gotta curse it out! Its a pain to do but it will wiggle out little by little. No real tricks.
