Default 12 bolt yoke ???

I purchased a used 12 bolt and 3.5" Aluminum driveshaft for my car about a month ago. I installed it over the weekend. Everything was going smooth until it came time to install the driveshaft. The drive shaft did not come with a transmission yoke (is this called a slip yoke?), so I thought I could use my stock one, wrong. The caps on the universal joint are too big for my stock transmission yoke (slip yoke?). So what do I do? Can I get a transmission yoke (slip yoke?) that fits my T56 and the universal caps I have, or should I try to get a different universal joint with two different cap sizes. Should I go ahead and upgrade the factory transmission yoke (slip yoke?) anyway??? Or is that wasted money?

Also can someone verify a transmission yoke is the same as a slip yoke so I don't have to keep typing out both. Sorry for the long read all help is appreciated

you'll need a 2 size universal joint. assuming your new DS is 1350 you'll need a 1350/1310 joint.

Maybe that is the way I should go. The caps in the after market DS measure 1 3/16". So the factory is 1310 and the other caps I have are 1350? Also my factory slip yoke does not look to good, is this a problem? It has close to 100K on it and is rusted and the rubber parts are dried out and cracked.

Anyone one have a part # for a 1350 slip yoke for a T56?

My stock yoke is 7" long, but the one I found that I think will work is only 6" long?

Here is another one that might work.

Or should I just get this:

Here are some pics of my current yoke. The arrows show where the cracks in the rubber are.

the rubber was pretty cracked up on mine too and ive actually looked inside the slip yoke on my t-56...weird. i also dont remember what the cap diameters are for different series joints anymore. anyway, i would just get the 1310/1350 joint assuming thats the series on your DS.

sorry i couldnt be more help. did you try posting this in the transmission section?

I have a new driveshaft. It uses the same 1350 caps the 12 bolt uses. The problem is my factory slip yoke needs the 1310 caps. Thats no big deal because I can still use the conversion u-joint you just mentioned. Problem is my factory slip yoke looks like a$$. I just purchased a aftermarket slip yoke from Moser. Look at my other post here:
