Has anyone tried these edelbrock headers?

I just recently replaced my Hooker LTs with these. You will lose a little ground clearance on the collectors with these considering they are 3.5" vs. the Hooker 3". Otherwise, other than the collector and the step design, they are direct copies of the Hooker LTs. The Y-pipe is the best fitting Y I have ever used for a LT equipped F-body. I highly recommend having the collectors welded on and have a shop weld the bungs into the header collector to eliminate any air leaks contaminating the O2 readings. I chased alot of air leaks between the slip fit collector and the y-pipe to header slip fit. I have the O2s welded into the Y-pipe though. Good luck,

They look like a nice deal considering they come with bolts and extensions for that price I think I'll probably get them next paycheck and go rent a tig welder and weld them up myself.

Hopefully you guys realize these headers arent for your average 346, these are BIG headers. And remember Victor series parts from edelbrock are made for high RPM power, so some low end may be sacrificed with these headers, other than that, I think they are bad *** and considered them myself, but went with stainless 1-3/4" hookers instead to try to keep as much low end as possible and still spend under 500

I have the version of those that come pre-welded. I didnt notice any loss of low end torque, have had them for a year or so and the coating is holding up fine. I'm pretty dam happy with these headers, I forget where I bought mine. Jegs maybe has the welded ones. Big headers, any headers, dont cause you to lose torque, the size of the piping just moves it around the RPM band. Larger pipes move the torque higher up in the RPMs. it is so true, my Mamma told me so!!
Anyways, I think they are good and can still be used if you add a cam.
