Default Okay, another CETA complete thread ... lol

Did the job but not so well ... ... there were cracks in the bumper/paint (the main reason I decided to do this; to cover that shyzer up) and when I wiped it all off with thinner (to get the wax/etc. off), it had soaked into the cracks. So and even after I washed and wiped, used a tack cloth on it and then applied the adhesion promoter ... it was still evaporating and when I applied the color, it started bubbling in those places. ****! Lost interest after that ... Did what I can for now, looks decent from far but I know the next time I wash it, it's gonna flake off in those areas. **** ****! Gonna have to get the whole rear end prof. painted in the future 'cos the bumper and p/s fender seem have have been painted with a quick and crappy paint job in the past. For now, I'm just glad it's satin finish (used SUV/Truck bumper paint from a rattle can), I can keep touching it up

Now, need to re-mount the exhaust tips and it'll be ready to go!

painters tape is not good for edges, you should have used that pin striping tape for the out edge...

Looks killer though!

use alcohol to clean before painting, it evaporates fast.

first wash with dish soap dry with lint-free towel then use some rubbing alcohol on it to remove grease, and oils.

did you sand at all? when i did my mini ceta i sanded it down then cleaned it up and what not, then shot it...sanding the surface to promote adhesion would've helped if you didn't do it.

white with black cetas look amazing...

Yeah, I scuffed the surface with sandpapaper. Didn't have any alcohol around, hence the use of thinner ...

Edit: took more pics of the completed job with everything mounted and in daylight yesterday, will post them up tonight when I get home. I take pics in RAW format so I can't just upload them when I want, have to go through the whole Photoshop process ...
