Cadillac CTS-V - '06 STS-V's are hella cheap

Been looking at some on Autotrader, and there's a bunch around me in the low-mid 30's with low milage. Looking at one with 17K miles on it going for 34K. I think they went for 70+K new? Has anyone heard of long term problems with them, are they reliable?

People bitch and moan about the rearends in them and not having a cheap fix for it... I think prevention of wheel hops goes along way with them and not being a retard behind the wheel..

If I got one I would be trading in my GTO. It's a daily driver, bolt ons only and never sees the track. 90% of the road time would be on I-95 driving to work. The V looks like an excellent highway driver. I just can't believe a two year old car that cost over 70K new can now be afforded by a mere mortal such as me lol.

They don't handle worth shit!!! But it is a pimp cruiser for sure!!! I say get it, it's super baller..... There is a company in cali that tricks them out, fenders, tune, pulley etc....do it...

Yes they are heavy. The CTS is no lightweight either.
A car that was 70K 24 months ago that I can get for 33K is not expensive.
The look better than the CTS-V.

It's relative. The ctsv is a porker at 3800+, but the stsv is ridiculous at 4300. 06 ctsv's are mid/high 20's, so low 30's is a lot.

I'd pimp that STS V in a sec. Great daily driver!

My dad has owned a STS-V for a little under a year now, bought it new, and aside from 5 points on his license no problems with it and he drives it like stole it. On the way home from the dealership he lined his mirrors up with mine and smoked the tires launching against me.

Good car, I'd consider getting it, the ride in it is amazing.

Not that I would be taking it to the strip every weekend, but here is a stock one that ran a 13.2. Not too shabby.

IMO they look much better than the CTS, especially from the rear.

Take a deep breath, count to 10 and slowly back away from the internet lol. i think the CTS looks good. The two look very similar to me. I just like the STS a little better. I never really liked how the CTS looked from the back. But don't get me wrong, I'd roll in one for sure.

Naw, the STS isn't as boxy. Looks better. The whole car has smoother lines.

I like the front better. The STS-V has a wider grill thats not as tall. The CTS-V is a little more narrow and a little taller. Both look good, but I would rather have my CTS-V because I can (am) putting an LS7 in it!!! Something that would be hard to do to an STS-V and I can lap the STS-V all day with the better suspension and less weight of the CTS-V.

ehh, idk about looking better..different fo sho'... but does one really need all those dummy reverse censors?(cam would be more pimp)and that hook hitch..yuk!...and the side view looks like the lines on the lexus F sport modle...more euro...i like american styling. 1 gun son. pace! off to the car show.

06 sport spoiler(CDDR-1038)...this is where i got mine...nice quality i would buy from them again
no questions asked. it came in 3 days ups. u cant beat that price with a stick.
install with the stock installers is doodoo...throw them away,... and make a template out of a large piece of thin paper(so u can see through it to line up holes) i did it myself with some help from my friend...u are gonna drill holes through ur trunk...so u got one chance to make it work...or, bring it to a body shop, and make sure you agree on where it should sit(on rear deck) befor u walk away.
