Default building my forged bottom end

I am finaly ready to start doing some more mods to the car. Right now it has h/c and full bolt ons. I will be going with a D-!SC but first I am going to forge my bottom end. I am considering putting in a stroker crank instead of just rods and pistons. I was just wondering what kind of power gains people were seeing with a 383 vs a 346 and if it is worth the extra expense.

A forged crank is usually around $800-$1000+, so it depends on your budget and your power/ET goals. If your looking for say 600-700 rwhp a built 346 can certainly get you there. If your going for a max build then go with the stroker crank and build a 383. The stock crank has been shown to hold over 800 rwhp so if your not going for that much power then the stock crank with be just fine and just spend the money on the best internals you can afford (pistonds, rods, etc).
