Default Body harness question 95 and 96?

I am putting a 96 LT1 into a 95 TA. I am swithching the engine harness and pcm but wanted to check and see if the body harness is the same before I go ahead and pull it out. I know that it switched to OBD2 in 96 so the plugs are probably differant? I did a search and didn't come up with anything. Any insight would be great. Thanks.

Actually, your answer is on this first page. The body harness is different. I would use the same year engine harness as you do body harness just to keep things easy. IF you want OBD2, it would probably be easier to just swap out the aldl port, add the crank sensor, etc. You could probably spend half a day running everything like factory that needs to be added where you'd probably spend a week or so (and learn some new words) if you swapped out the body harness, too.

Are you wanting to convert to OBDII or are you under the impression that you have to? You can run that '96 motor without converting to OBDII.

Yea.. just bolt on the '95 Front Cover.. and that's about it really. I don't know if you can take off the Reluctor Wheel..

Most 1995's came with the 16-pin OBDII Style Port from the Factory.

You don't even need to do that. You can just leave the crank sensor unplugged on the 96 motor. No need to take the reluctor wheel off or anything.
