Rings?

Rings?
Have Je Pistons (believe they're 28cc dish) that came with JE pro seal rings. Now... for a turbo application, what rings SHOULD I run. Are the rings supplied designed for the abuse of a turbocharger or should I look at something else? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

It will depend on the intended HP you are after for an exact answer.
My builder used those same rings without reservation for my engine,
and I believe they are a plasma/moly top and ductile iron second ring.
If you don't rattle the engine too much I think the plasma rings will be fine.
The stainless Hellfire rings are stronger, but cylinder wear could be an issue on a car that is driven a lot on the street.
I would contact your machinist to see what he thinks as well.

Hmmm, that's true. I'm looking at probably realistically no more than 800rwhp out of this 408 @ approx 15psi. I ran plasma rings in my 464ci pontiac and they worked great on the street. Not really sure on the stainless, as it's not a strip-only vehicle. I think I'll stick with the ones I've got. Already have them new in the box, came with the pistons, might as well run them if I'm not running a RIDICULOUS amount of power.

Appreciate that Shawn. Thanks for chiming in. Will call it a day then! =) Just got my axles back, some new deep open ended 1/2" lug nuts, got my 3" wheel studs in, and new bearings/seals on my moser axles for the 9" in my 67. Dropped the block off to have the cam bearings removed and shot blasted so I can take it to have it machined.
