Default Best exhaust setup for slammed / lowered car?

Alright, so ive spent the past few days searching and reading up on different exhaust setups, and which ones have clearance issues. I have sportlines on my car, amd i love the slammed look. I want to upgrade my exhaust, but want to have the most clearance possible. I know the problem is going to be my Y pipe. from what ive read on here it seems that my best bet is going to be a custom Y made at an exhsust shop. Is this a safe conclusion to come to? does anyone have any recomendations (besides raising my car) for a header/Ypipe combo that wont drag with my sportlines? Ive read that BBK is supposed to have great clearance, as well as ARF? But the two threads i read about each person had the pro kit, not sportlines... Let me know what you think!

Just don't run a Y at all lol

Pacesetter Y-pipe is said to have great ground clearance.

I have sportlines (about to be changed to stranos) with long tubes, catless y (pacesetter), and a borla cat back. My ground clearance isn't THAT bad. The only time I have issues is over some of the larger speed bumps. What you will have issues with, is the car bouncing off the bumpstops.

My custom duals have better clearance than some friends with y-pipes.

Never had any problems on the ProKit springs...and haven't touched anything since swapping on the Strano springs.

pacesetter. friends got intrax springs and he runs welds with small *** tires up front that lower the front even more. still has no problems.

I ran Pacesetter LTs with a Pacesetter ORY and a Magnaflow catback when my car was lowered with Hothkis springs and I had great ground clearance.

Thanks everyone for the feedback. so pacesetter header/Ypipe combo seems to be the favorite for ground clearance. If anyone has any other combos, please speak up!

so i have a 2nd question, does the pacesetter Ypipe only work with the pacesetter header, or is it interchangeable with some other brands? My one concern wit using pacesetter is that its been said that they are some of the worst flowing headers out there. but then again beggers cant be choosers...

I'm guessing you read my thread on the BBK's... with my prokit i can have 4 people in the car and it's still plenty driveable... of course I have to take it easy going on steep inclines/speed bumps with 4 people in it... but it's doable... I look at it as a custom y-pipe since they used my car to develop it... they custom made it to fit LOL

it also has better clearance than most because it is a 2.5" into 3" Y-pipe... where all the others seem to be full 3"

I wouldn't let the .5" smaller worry you though... I mean, look at my dyno graph in my sig

yea i read through all your threads about the instal. and its def impressive. They are still one of my top choices for a header/Ypipe combo. Not too many peopel have them here, but for that price, i almost feel like its worth trying it out. I jsut want to gather some more info before i take the plunge, so to speak.

with me and him in the car he is like 2 in from the ground..

I'm running stranos on mine and don't have any problems. Some of the big speed bumps are an issue but for the most part its good.

I'm running stainless works headers, 2.5" y-pipe merged into a 3.5" pipe and catback, no problems with strano springs.
