Default fuel tank conversion

Has anyone used there stock first gen camaro tank for a fuel injection setup? I would like some ideas instead of buying a 600 dollar rock valley tank. Wondering if there is another intank pump unit that will work in the stock take. Thanks for any help.

I did a first gen tank by modifying it probably more than you would want to. I cutout the large opening from another tank and took the filler neck then had it welded onto the first get tank. I also had 2 tanks and split them and dropped one so that I have a 22 gallon tank. This is what I run in my car now. It was a bit of work but well worth it. If you use the original cap setup with a pressurized tank it will spill gas out the back when you gas it.
