WoW > Look at this Dyno Sheet ! (567 torque)
No, this is not my car. This is Dug's "ChevyNo1" dyno sheet.
This dyno pull was is the Phoenix, Arizona heat using [91 octane] pump gas. That's the gas avail there.
Anyway .. 533 rwhp and a massive 567 torque! And all done with a stock block, bone stock headed, and stock cammed 98 Z-28 SS.
This is what about 9 psi of Incon twin turbo boost will do with no engine mods other than good programming and a very good water/alcohol injection system that stops detonation in it's tracks.
I have known Dug since his car was brand new. And, I always thought my head / cam/ headers car could somewhat keep up with Dug's Incon turbocharged ... otherwise stocker Z-28. Well, thats wishfull thinking on my part!
Jeeeze, was I wrong!
Just thought I would show you the dyno chart.
Folks, this car has the stock heads and cam in it! In fact, I don't think the valve covers have ever been off this 98 Z-28.
I believe his HP drops off early in the revs because Dug's MAF becomes maxed out.

Bill...
The Alc/H2O injection must have a lot to do with that. Jeeze, if my car ran that pig rich, I would loose maybe 30 rwhp on the rollers. Christ, his fuel/air ratio is off the chart!
And I don't think Dug's 98 made more than about 295 to 300 rwhp (max) before these turbo's were put on it. Simply amazing.
Now the real question raises it's ugly head .. Even though that Alc/Water injection is probably saving his ***, How long will his stock cast Mahle pistons last? Not to mention those stock "cracked powdered" rods seeing that his CR is 10.1:1
It's a "Dicey" game Dug is playing....

He has true dual exhaust on it. It has a very safe tune on it without the alky kit and it puts down 480 rwhp on 91 octane alone around a mid-high 11 A/F. We didn't want to pull fuel out just for the alky kit since it probably won't always be on so that is why it is so pig rich on that graph. His MAF hits right up around 11.0-11.2 khz and that is as far as the 98 computer goes so it is at its limits. I think we have managed to finally exorcize the demons.

Thanks for the nice words Ron!! My car actually made 334rwhp before the turbos, but that was with gears, pullies, ported MAF, and stock 10 bolt. Pullies are gone, stock MAF is back on, and I'm now pushing this through a locker 9", with pretty well stock ratio 3.50's.
No track times yet, but I hope to be going tonite. I'll be running DR's, so I don't expect a great ET, but am really interested to see what it will trap. Gotta get it weighed too. Ron mentioned good programming. I can thank NIC for that!!
Hey Tony!! How's Houston? I mostly hang out in the FI section, I gotta visit around a bit more I guess! It's been a long arduous journey with my car, but it's finally starting to pay off.
Now the real question is, how long will it last?

Re: WoW > Look at this Dyno Sheet !
The alky kit seems to be working well! I have trunk mount, but onl single nozzle. Spray on point is about as low as it will go ( prolly 3psi ) and pump speed is also minimum ( 4.5 on dial ). I was running an 80/20 alky/water mix with this dyno, I'm thinking of dropping to 50/50 so it's not so rich . . . next dyno session!
