Default swaping a Carb and turbo350 Trany in a 94Z28

Iam wanting to now what all is need to swap in a Carb motor and a turbo 350 trany in a 94Z28.. Will LT1 headers bolt up to Holly Aluminum heads.I have a 406 crab motor with holly aluminum heads with 202/160 values. 1.6 Rollor rockers,558 lift cam,Victor Jr Intake with a 850 Holly AED Carb.electic motor for the water pump. The trany is a turbo 350 with 3500 stall with manual value body. Iam gonna be running LT headers with a X pipe with dynomax bullets..

The LT1 in the car has 160+K miles and it has a rear main or oil is leaking from somewhere.

Should I keep the 4l60e in the car and just get a stall converter and swap the motors. Will a 406 bolt up to the 4l60e..Iam wanting to have a fast street car. The 406 was in a S-10 running 7.3s-7.5s on motor with 456 gears. With shorty headers. What should it run in this Z28 I was hoping 7s like it was running in the s-10..

The LT1 Headers will bolt up, you may run into a restriction since the LT1's are D-port.

You will have to get something to reduce your Fuel Pressure since it's mainly setup for a EFI Engine.

I would put the TH350 behind the 406..unless you want to wire the 4L60E on a stand-alone setup to still be used. It will bolt directly up, but you still have to electronically control everything.

Thanks for the help. Won't a fuel pressure regulater work to drop the fuel pressure. I will still be abel to keep my stock fuel tank and fuel pump. Thats good becuz my fuel hand will still work. I will put the turbo350 in then. Will I still have to use the TQ arm still and will I have to find another driveshaft or will the stock one work.

How will I still be able to keep my speedo..

You can get a Fuel Regulator, I would look for one that brings the pressure down to about 8psi, that is pretty much ideal for a Carb setup.
They make kits out there for the TH350 to be converted to the electronic speedo.
You will need a longer Driveshaft, the TH350 is a shorter Transmission from what I remember.
As far as the Torque Arm, a good choice would be one that bolts to the Chassis..

The piece with the driveshaft loop is the crossmember for the turbo 350. It asks for what color, rearend type, material type, magnetic angle finder, new rear tq arm hardwear. What should I pick.. When I do all this and if the stock rear goes iam gonna save up for a 9" or 12 bolt.

The Crossmember that comes with this Torque Arm is actually for that only.. you will have to still get one for the TH350.

The things that you have to pick on the site are extra things that are available with that Torque Arm.

This is what you would pick..
Rear: Stock
Material: Steel
Angle Finder(helps find the Pinion Angle): If you want it..
Hardware: Personally I would.. it helps.

This Torque Arm bolted right up to the Moser 9" that I got without a problem.

Here is another good pic of it..

There ya go.. give it hell.

As far as the Cross Member.. I don't think it will work bro.. that's for a 1998 and up, the LT1 cars are different.

Here is one that will work, get you a Poly Mount as well..

Wounder with the setup Iam going with what it will run in the 1/8-1/4.I hoping 7s in the 1/8 I now in the s-10 it goes 7.3-7.5s in the 1/8. Iam gonna hok NOS on it when I install it in the Z28 I have a 100-150 plate system..

If you are a good welder, you could always cut off the ends on the LT1 headers and then weld on round/oval port flanges + pipe to the LT1s. So basically you'd cut back like 2-3 inches on the LT1s and then weld the same piece on from headers than fit those heads. A cheap fix for that would be buy some used ones off eBay, Craigslist, or buy Flowtech from a local parts store. Flowtech are dirt cheap. I got some mids for my 91 for $85 brand new heh
