Nope, it has a return.

Well, depends on why your asking.

There is only 1 line to the fuel rails, so it is "returnless" as far as rails go.

But the system is setup like this.

Fuel pump ------ filter -----Tee--------return back to tank---regulator--dump fuel into tank bottom, where the T has a single line up to the fuel rails.

The V6 cars have a conventional rail mounted regulator and a normal style fuel system.

So, to clear this up for myself. A 99' F body LS1 fuel rail should work well with the corvette style filter/regulator with 3 ports. Just the supply going up to the fuel rail?

That is correct

so how much power is the stock 98 line setup good for? assuming twin pumps, aftermarket rails and injectors, etc. I wasent aware they had a different fuel system too

'98 f-bodies use the same routing as the '99+ f-bodies, but had a metal tank instead of the '99+ plastic tank. Twin pumps, etc. on '98 f-body lines should have the same capacity as '99+ lines unless I'm missing something.

I'm pretty sure the last Vette that had the regulator at the rails was in 1997 (first year of the C5)... '98+ Vettes have the regulator in the back.

The stock lines with intank regulator seem to work OK up to approx 700rwhp.
Typically above this, a front mount regulator is recommended, plus it gives more usable rage out of the injectors when you boost reference.

Default Fuel line and rail sizes

A lot of people spend way to much time worrying about fuel line and fuel rail size on EFI engines. It is an important issue in low pressure systems like carb engines but if you actually measure the pressure drop across the lines it is often fairly small, even at high flow levels. If you have 58 psi and loose 3 psi in pressure drop that is a fairly small change in injector size. If your regulator is at the rail then the drop is even less of an issue - it just means the pump has to work a little harder to achieve your target pressure.

We have made 1200 hp on several turbocharged LS1 engines with the stock LS1 and LS6 fuel rails without any fuel handling problems (at least not fuel rail and fuel line related). The only time we usually change the rails is when changes to the intake manifold design force us to do so.

thanks Jason, im glad to hear that. I have twin walbro 255's in tank so if the factory lines/fpr/and rails are fine to 600whp then all i need is injectors.

one less thing i have to pay for, and I just found out a few hours ago were moving down to 32 hour work weeks vs our usual 65
