Default Lt1 le1 questions

So my car is a 95T/A, lt1, 1 3/4 SLP headers, 3'' Mangaflow catback & hi flo cat, Hypertech airfoil, Moroso CAI, LT4 Knock Module, msd wires, A4 - 2600 stall, stage 1 shift kit, vette servos, 3inch band, few other goodies. and i think thats it

The opportunity has risen for me to purchase: LE1 heads, CC306Cam, and LE1intake.

I just don't know much about the le1 heads, aswell as what sort of number to expect. From what ive read i need a bigger throttlebody (52mm or 58mm) as well as injectors. just wondering if the bigger tb+injectors is necessary ( i know that if i don't i will be losing out on some power).

i do live in an area where emissions are needed. (i know very little about cams, so i don't know if this one will work or be 'efficient')

The car is a daily, but i do take it to the track from time to time.

So any pros/cons to these things please serve them up, aswell as what number i should expect or come close to...

Thanks

I'd say the stock TB will be fine still, and 28# (might as well just get 30#) injectors would do fine. You'll need a tune of course as well.

As for emissions, I'm not sure how it performs. It's not an overlap style that, at least not that I know of. So you'd need to keep your emissions stuff.

Emissions are directly tied to the cam. Search for 306 Emissions and see what you come up with. I'm sure some guys with cats, tuning and a few tricks like getting the cats super hot and maybe running a fuel additive you can get it to pass.

I've never heard or seen that cam passing emissions before. Your 2600 Stall is pretty tiny for a cc306 IMO I would throw a bigger stall in there too. Hit up Lloyd he will be able to tell you everything you need to know about his heads. You really should get larger injectors, the TB is not necessary but I would get one or atleast eventually but its not 100% necessary.

Make sure it's a real LE1, there's a lot of fake stuff floating around as of late.
A few photos of the bowl and intake ports should be enough for him to tell.

He also has an emmisions grind cam that will help you with your requirements.

Stock TB and 28# should be fine for that power level.
I ran SVO 30# injectors with a 22x/23x cam and made 390rwhp without maxing them out.

If you happen to get a good deal on a 52 or 58m it wouldn't hurt either, but the stocker will work too.

Remember to budget money for rockers, pushrods, guides, 7/16" studs, gasket kits, install labor and a tune.
Depending on the cam you pick, you might be able to get away with SA rockers (no guides or stud upgrades)

Do the heads come with springs, valves, locks and retainers?
Have the springs been tested? That's another expense to consider.
You can always have them sent to Lloyd to check and refresh if needed.
Drop him an email or a phone call and he'll help you out.

It sounds like you have the supporting mods you need.
