lt1 or ls1 pro kit? the rears will go in with no compressor but the fronts are more than likely going to need one, mine did at least. what shocks you using?

yea your front does look kinda low. looks like the driveway is slanted so throws it off a little. youll need some type of compression tool to take the "stock" spring off of the strut.

hard to say due to the slant in the pic, youll def need a spring compressor if your re-using the shocks. what kinda event you going to? road race, drag strip? honestly if your dragging it id keep the stock stuff in until you change out your shocks as the stockers and LS1 prokit are gonna make it low and rough.

lowering springs and your stock shocks arent a great combo IMO, your changing the spring rate without changing the part that controls the springs so your ride is going to be affected in the same manner. the stock shocks are barely good enough for the stock springs and were never designed to be used with lowering springs. just giving you a heads up

just wanted to let you know before you went ahead and changed them and was like WTF, this rides horrible, sags, and before it kills your shocks. the LS1 pro kit is known for sagging and the spring rates were out of whack if i remember correctly. the lt1 pro kit seems to not have the sagging problem and much nicer spring rates.

I agree with everyone, your probably going to hate the ride. Also, don't use a jack to compress your springs.

Well let me tell you this, I had the LS1 pro-kit all the way around, then I swapped the rears with LT1 rears, still running on the bumpstops so I got sick of that **** and bought just the rear BMR springs, still riding the bumpstops, WTF, I have no idea, I gave up, my rear LT1 springs are for sale btw, good luck

Well, if I were you, install them, if your rear starts to sag, replace the rears with the LT1 rears or bmr's, or if you want get you a set of bmr's and be done with it,too bad Strano dont have his in stock otherwise I would have bought his! good luck man
Here's a pic. of my car with LS1 fronts and LT1 rears so you can get an idea (stock shocks)

you guys are hating on the ProKits. it's the most popular lowering spring out there. granted in recent times the strano springs have taken off but before those the ProKit was what like everyone run. yes there have been cases of the rears sagging but not everyones. and LS1Freak sounds like you have a different problem if you've used all those springs and are still riding on the bump stops. do you have the rear isolators in? my car freaking slammed with BMR springs and the hose mod and i'm still not riding on the bump stops.

goodluck either way my friend. clean looking TA you've got there.

''tbird31'' I do have the rear insulator on, I have no idea why my car wont raise up anymore, the springs are installed right, maybe the shocks are shot.Dont get me wrong, I love my front pro-kits, just the rears pro-kits sagged like **** the second week after install, thats all

If you don't like them take them out and sell them, and use that money toward better shocks.
Either way the lowering springs are not going to help your track times any.
