84 Silverado 5.3 Swap Trans X-Member Advise Needed
Fitting my 5.3 & 4L60 into my 84 C10 P/U. Had to re-drill stock crossmember bolt holes. Question is the pass side of the cross-member that bolts inside frame rail. Do I have to run the bolt on type brace to the upper lip of the frame rail (top right piece of cross-member in pic)? It is basically impossible for me to re-drill the bolt hole w/o taking the cab off to get to them. Would the cross-member be strong enough w/o that brace?
